The generosity of the VMI family—past and present—touches the lives of hundreds of cadets every year. Thank you for your continued support of VMI.

Fiscal Year 2022 was one of the most successful fundraising years in the Institute’s history. Despite rising economic uncertainty, an amazing 5,282 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends made gifts and commitments—to include planned giving—totaling more than $50.3 million.

I am grateful so many continued to believe in VMI and its importance to the Commonwealth, the country, and the world and decided to support it so generously. No matter how much each of them gave, their support mattered because every gift and commitment helps every cadet get one of the best starts in life: VMI’s time-tested education, which prepares them to be leaders of character and pursue meaningful lives of honorable success and selfless service to their communities, their country, and the world.

In Fiscal Year 2022, alumni comprised the majority of donors, but a significant number of other members of the VMI family also gave. To aid in VMI’s vital mission, 5,282 individuals and organizations made gifts—maintaining a strong foundation of private support.
